Crabby Cafe and Sports Bar Replacing Max’s at the Piazza

crabby cafe sports barIt’s a new year and another new concept for the Piazza at Schmidt’s. Max’s Brew Bar and its 30 or so beer taps is giving away to Crabby Cafe and Sports Bar. Crabby Cafe promises the interesting combination of Cajun and Vietnamese cuisine on a seafood-focused menu.

Crabby Cafe and Sports Bar follows on the heels of the original Crabby Cafe, located at 6905 Castor Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. That location opened about 8 months ago and has solid Yelp reviews. The new spot offers a menu consisting of seafood-focused appetizers and a variety of pho. The seafood section of the menu offers crawfish, shrimp and a variety of crabs in Cajun spices.

Max’s Brew Bar Opens at the Piazza

Max’s Brew Bar, the beer-centric replacement for the short lived Raw and stillborn Speck, opened quietly last Friday. The spot on the Piazza at Schmidts features 34 beers on tap and karaoke every night.┬áIn June a self-service automated beer wall is promised.
