Philadelphia is getting crabby and it isn’t because the Eagles lost (thank goodness). We’ve been spotting crab specials pop up around town. Corner Foodery is offering snow crabs for $9.99 per pound or three blue crabs for $9.99. Each order of blue crabs gets a free 12-ounce draft. And tonight, from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight, the deal works in reverse. Buy a beer and get an order of free crabs.
So there’s a lot of World Cup craziness going on around town in celebration of the various teams competing over the next few weeks. But Matyson has it all boiled down in this first week–a single, 5-course menu that covers the flavors of teams from Ghana, Germany, Portugal and the United States, plus a Death By Chocolate dessert just because chocolate is awesome. That’s the Team U.S.A. dish pictured above: baby back ribs, apple slaw and cornbread.
The menu is $45 (which is still such a killer deal that I can’t believe the house is still charging so little) and it’s available through Thursday night.
When we received Matyson’s summer seafood tasting menu for the week over the weekend we were really impressed. And now that we’ve seen the photos, well we suggest you make reservations immediately.
Matyson’s summer seafood tasting menu is available now through Thursday, June 12th and is $45 for five-courses.
