In case you haven’t already made plans for tonight, the
weirdos nice young gentlemen from Pizza Brain, Little Baby’s Ice Cream and Art In The Age are getting together for a “Third Thursdee” event in which pizzas and ice cream will be made and consumed. The pizzas will be spiked with Art In The Age liquors. As will the ice cream. And everything will be wonderful–provided you’re super into things like ham-and-pineapple pizza with ROOT glaze, RHUBARB and strawberry tea ice cream, SNAP and lemonade punch and cocktails made with fresh mint and sage-flavored liquor.
It’ll all be going down tonight, from 6-9pm, at Pizza Brain on Frankford Avenue.

Honestly, I didn’t know that affogato had a season. But when it comes to matters of ice cream and its manifold applications, I’ll trust in the wisdom of the professional weirdoes at Little Baby’s Ice Cream.
So here’s the deal: According to the LBIC crew, it’s affogato season. And they’re celebrating by wheeling out their official ice cream tricycle and sending it over to Hub Bub Coffee at 3736 Spruce Street where, tomorrow, Thursday, April 3, from 3pm-6pm, they’ll be selling scoops to all and sundry and giving away free single scoops (in a cone or cup) to anyone who orders an affogato from Hub Bub.
So why Hub Bub? Because Hub Bub will now be stocking Little Baby’s Ice Cream, for the express purpose of making even more affogatos.

So just how much do you love Little Baby’s Ice Cream? Enough to show up tonight for their first-ever ice cream auction?
Yeah, that’s right. An ice cream auction. See, it appears that the guys from Little Baby’s were going through the coolers and found a bunch of “rare, one-off, seasonal and out-of-print” flavors which they are planning on auctioning off tonight at 8pm at their Frankford Avenue shop.
If there's a long-gone flavor that you're just dying to try again, check out the list below. Who knows? You might just have one last chance to try that burnt sugar absinthe flavor that blew your mind and then disappeared from the menu forever...
