If you’re still looking to stuff yourself full of Christmas spirit, The Rittenhouse Hotel is hosting a series of holiday events in the next few weeks that are worth considering.
The hotel will be putting on its own gingerbread house display by The Library Bar with replicas of two Philadelphia landmarks – Betsy Ross’s house and the Philadelphia Art Museum. The gingerbread houses have been created by the Rittenhouse’s own culinary team, led by pastry chef Tova du Plessis.
But since you can’t eat all the gingerbread (don’t try, they’ll kick you out), the hotel will be offering sweet roasted chestnuts, hot spiced apple cider, and hot chocolate as a part of their “Winter Warming Treats” every day in the lobby from 2-6 p.m.
International winemaker and champagne enthusiast Jean Charles Boisset is in town, and he’s leading a Bubbly Brunch Crawl around Rittenhouse this Saturday, November 8.
So what’s that mean?
It means you have to get up early, but also that you get to drink a bunch of bubbly wine and have various brunch-y type things handed to you by some of the city’s top chefs. Here’s an idea of how it’ll break down.
