It’s late night and you’re about to dip into rent money to keep the buzz going – but 13th Street’s got ya covered when it comes to late night happy hour deals.
Lolita has had a late night happy hour since it retooled, but now it includes a Mexican take on the Citywide Special. Get a taco (some food in the stomach), a shot of tequila, and a Tecate for just $10. Or you can do the two tacos for $5 deal and pair that with a cerveza for $3 or a margarita for $6. The deal’s available from 10 p.m. until 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Chef Lindsay McClain, from Jamonera (and former Chopped champion), is bringing her game to the Garage tomorrow and will be serving completely gluten-free Seoul Food this Thursday, starting at 6 p.m.
The all-Korean menu will include Korean pork tacos, vegetarian Korean shiitake tacos and kimchi fried rice, as well as Barbuzzo‘s legendary (and very non-Korean) budino, for dessert.
The event is a first-come first-served type deal, so you'd better get there as soon as work lets out and grab your tacos and budino before they're gone.
Summer ain’t over yet. At least not on 13th Street, where Marcie Turney and Val Safran are running three nights of seafood specials at their restaurants to celebrate all the bountiful (and delicious) sea critters we eat during the hottest months.
From Sunday, August 10, through Tuesday, August 12, there will be special seafood-inspired menus, with beverage pairings, offered at each of their four popular Midtown Village restaurants. We’re talking ceviches at Lolita, a crab boil at Jamonera, lobster spaghetti at Little Nonna’s, and a mixed seafood grill at Barbuzzo. The dinners are running $45 per person (which includes a paired drink), excluding tax and gratuity. Check out all the menus after the jump.
