Iron Hill Brewery is About to Grow at Hyper Speed

Iron HillIron Hill Brewery‘s already lightning-fast expansion is about to hit another gear. The company announced on Friday that it struck a deal with investment firm A&M Capital Opportunities. Armed with fresh capital, Iron Hill is eyeing a massive expansion plan with locations across the Eastern seaboard.

Iron Hill currently has 11 locations with a 12th coming soon to Huntingdon Valley, Pa. President and CEO Kevin Finn said the company had its sights set on 20 locations by 2020 but now says “the goal is to accelerate that and do it more efficiently.” Read more »

Help Wildlife and Drink Belgian Beer with Iron Hill

From Foobooz: If you’re going to lock yourself inside tomorrow to hide from the snow, you might as well lock yourself inside of a brewery. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in West Chester is holding their annual Belgium Comes to West Chester festival on Saturday, January 24. The pay-as-you-go event will feature Belgian-style beers starting at 1 pm. Many of the brewers of the over 25 featured beers will be there. Eight-beer samplers will be available to guests as well as a la carte beer, Belgian-inspired snacks and t-shirts. More here.

Tomorrow, January 28th, the Iron Hill in Maple Shade, NJ will be donating 20% of their food sales to the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. The refuge, located in Medford, NJ, is 171 wooded acres of preserved land surrounding Cedar Run Lake. It includes a nature center, a rehabilitation center, and houses more than sixty native animals.

A printed flyer is needed in order to have your meal counted towards the 20% donation, which can be found on Cedar Run’s website. The fundraiser begins at noon.

Eight PA Brewers Win Medals at Great American Beer Festival

gabf 2015 940The 2015 Great American Beer Festival winners have been announced and eight Pennsylvania beers brought home awards while New Jersey and Delaware added another three to the medal count. Saucony Creek’s Peach and Ginger Saison won the only Gold medal in the three-state area and Mount Holly, NJ upstart, Spellbound Brewing won Silver in the Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer category. Iron Hill won two Silver medals. The Chestnut Hill location won in the Belgian-Strong category while Media can brag about their medal in the Russian Imperial Stout category.
