Iron Hill Brewery which opened its 11th location late last year in Ardmore has announced its next location. Iron Hill founders Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and Kevin Davies have picked the Huntingdon Valley for their location number 12. Expected to open in early 2016, the brewpub will be located in the Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center at Huntingdon Pike and Rockledge Avenue.
And if you’re anything like me, know that Huntingdon Valley, isn’t some far off land but is just outside of the city line, near Fox Chase and east of Jenkintown.
Iron Hill began in Newark, Delaware back in 1996 and has expanded regularly over the last 19 years. The brewpub chain has regularly brought home awards from the Great American Beer Festival, this past year saw them bring home three.
Iron Hill - Huntingdon Valley [Foobooz]
On Monday, February 2nd, Iron Hill Brewery will debut a new line of house beers at all 11 of their locations.
White Iron Wit, an unfiltered Belgian-style wheat beer; Ore House IPA, an American IPA with citrus and pine aroma and flavor; and Witberry, another wheat beer, this one brewed with a touch of raspberry, orange and spice flavors.
The three new beers will join Iron Hill Light Lager, Pig Iron Porter, Vienna Red Lager and the rotating Belgian as Iron Hill’s house beers. Gone from Iron Hill’s lineup is the Raspberry Wheat and Ironbound Ale.
