For 18 years, Grey Lodge has been throwing their Friday the Firkinteenth events whenever a Friday the 13th rolls around on the calendar. And guess what? This Friday is another one–the 34th in a row–and the crew is going to be dividing the festivities up into two sessions: Noon to 6pm and 6pm to midnight. There’ll be 13 cask ales for each session (26 total), with 7 tapped at a time.
There’s no cover. Everything is pay-as-you-go. And we’ve got the cask lists for both sessions below.
Philly Craft Spirits Week kicks off this Thursday at Philadelphia magazine’s Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival. The fest will feature a local spirits sectin with tables and bars representing the 11 participating distilleries in Philly Craft Spirits Week.
Beyond Whiskey Fest, each participating distillery is setting up a bevy of exciting events where you may tipple between Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 4.
Among the Highlights:
For the second month in a row we’ve been graced with a Friday the Thirteenth, which of course means two straight months of Friday the Firkinteenth at the Grey Lodge. For the uninitiated, that means a cask ale festival at the Northeast Philadelphia beer bar. The festival is broken into two sessions, a daytime session starting at noon, and an evening session kicking off at 6 pm.
There is only one more Friday the Firkinteenth this year (November), and in even worse news, only one in all of 2016.
There’s never a cover but it is cash only.
