The idea of restaurants transforming themselves into something completely different during summer’s dog days is fantastic. I mean seriously, what could be more refreshing (for the staff, the kitchen, the neighborhood) than a radical change of course that everyone knows is temporary? You could become anything. A sushi bar. A corn dog stand. Or, in the case of Old City BYO Bistro 7, a taqueria called Dos Rosas.

Through the month of September Bistro 7 will be offering a new tasting menu. The $60 ten-course menu is full of ingredients that fit right in with early autumn and our suddenly cooler temperatures. The menu only runs Tuesdays through Fridays.

Bistro 7 is going all out to celebrate Spring with a ten-course tasting tour of their new Spring menu. Start with a Sweet English Pea Soup with Parmesan-Black Pepper Tuille and White Truffle. Follow that withan Asparagus and Jumbo Lump Crab Custard with Prosciutto Crisp and continue through eight more courses of Spring flavors.
The 10-Course Tasting Tour at Old City’s Bistro 7 is $50, and is available every Sunday through Thursday in April.
