Yes, they’re back. Frozen Budino Pops have returned to Midtown Village. Beginning Friday, July 11th summer on 13th street can officially begin.
All hail the return of chef Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran’s ever so decadent, totally scrumptious, melt-in-your mouth dessert. If you’ve never tasted the perfection that is the frozen budino pop, its the grown-up version of your favorite summer popsicle.
Chef Turney wraps a core of
magic salted caramel and dark chocolate cookie crumbs with frozen caramel pudding, then hand-dips it in happiness dark chocolate and sprinkles Maldon sea salt on top. The pops are a seasonal play on the best-selling Budino dessert offered at the restaurant duo’s acclaimed Barbuzzo.

What better way to kick off Philly Wine Week than with Georges Perrier opening a bottle of champagne with a sabre. And that’s exactly how Philadelphia’s first ever wine week started.
Today sees more fun as Jet Wine Bar kicks off its local lunch and local wine series. All week, Alla Spina is pouring Karamoor Estates wine on tap. This evening they’ll have Kevin Robinson from Karamoor in the building from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Today is the kickoff of the first ever Philly Wine Week. The celebration of wine in Philadelphia officially gets underway with the Bubbles and Barrels event today at Ristorante Panorama but that’s not the only event happening today.
You could say it is wine week every week at Tria Cafe but they’re certainly turning it up this week. For Sunday School today, it’s a “Jura Jaunt.” Both Tria Cafe locations will be pouring a Savagnin “La Pierre” from from Les Granges Paquenesses. Normally this glass is $14.50 but it is just $7 a glass for Sunday School.
Late night, the nightly Toast at Ten will kick off at Barbuzzo where the first 50 people will receive a complimentary prosecco kumquat shooter with oyster. Other food and drink deals will be offered.
