They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why do so many restaurants only serve it on weekends? Well, the folks over at Avenue Kitchen understand that the breakfast-free life is no way to live, so they’re launching a breakfast menu on Monday, March 2 that will be available 7 days a week from 7 am to 3 pm.
You read that correctly. You can get breakfast for lunch at Avenue Kitchen. They’re breaking all the rules.
This summer, Villanova restaurant Avenue Kitchen will be opening up a new location in Glen Mills. Owner Dana Smith Farrell and her brother, executive chef Gregory Smith‘s new space will seat 80 guests and will be located inside the Glen Eagle Square shopping center at 477 Wilmingon West Chester Pike.
Farrell left her partnership with Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar to focus on the expansion. The sister-brother duo first opened Avenue Kitchen on the Main Line in 2013.

Dana Smith Farrell, a partner in Harvest Seasonal Grill is bringing Avenue Kitchen to the former home of Maia and Mix in Villanova. Neither of those concepts was able to survive the awkward location hidden off of Lancaster Avenue. Farrell will be joined by her brother Greg Smith who will be the head chef. Smith has worked for the likes of George Perrier, Jean-Marie La Croix and Chris Scarduzio—after attending both the Art Institute of Philadelphia and the Culinary Institute of America.
The restaurant proposes to offer “commonly loved classics using the freshest, finest ingredients to present simple and approachable, modern American cooking.” The Main Line spot will also have a liquor license and will offer beer, wine and craft cocktails.
