Since Sophia is originally from Philadelphia and the couple met while in college in Philadelphia, when they started planning the wedding and looking at venues, they wanted to make sure everything they chose was authentically Philly
. So they chose the historic Christ Church, which is about as authentic as it gets, located in the heart of Old City, with former parishioners like Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross and George Washington. Finding a unique reception venue that captured the spirit of the City of Brotherly Love proved more difficult, until they finally realized the perfect venue had been right in front of them all along in their West Philadelphia neighborhood: Nestled within Fairmount Park is the city’s Horticulture Center, a greenhouse and modern exhibition hall with stunning indoor and outdoor gardens, and plenty of space for their guests to celebrate and dance the night away.
Sunset on a crisp October day provided the perfect backdrop at the Horticulture Center for photos before cocktail hour.
