Catherine and Joe Vitella
During a stormy night while on vacation in Mexico, Joe gave Catherine the happiest surprise of her life with an engagement proposal. Originally envisioning a Christmastime wedding, the couple instead selected a springtime date to marry. Catherine plunged headfirst into creating a memorable day that incorporated many aspects of Philadelphia, the city where they met and fell in love. The couple was married on a picturesque spring day in front of close family and friends at St. Augustine’s Church in Old City. Afterwards, the bridal party spent several hours snapping pictures at famous Philadelphia landmarks. A reception followed at the Warwick Hotel with dinner and plenty of dancing. Two days later, Catherine and Joe boarded a plane bound for Prague and Vienna for an incredible, romantic honeymoon.

The newly married couple’s recessional music was performed by trumpeter Kenny Bean to the tune of Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.”
