We don’t run a “Throwback Thursday” on “Property,” but this week’s First-Time Find would qualify if we did: it’s a classic with beautifully maintained retro style, a touch of rustic charm and plenty of room for you and yours.

If you’re of a certain age, the sunny three-season porch that’s your entrée into this large craftsman home will likely bring back memories of your youth with its knotty pine walls and trim. But then again, if you’re reading this, you’re probably younger than that, so bring your parents along when you schedule a showing to let them enjoy a nostalgia trip and explain things for you.

The main living and dining areas, however, need no explanation. Large windows in the living room and a huge picture window in the dining room flood the spaces with light and add to their sense of spaciousness.

Think stainless steel appliances are a new trend? Step into the kitchen, where the cabinetry is vintage (and could use some updating along with the laminate countertop) but the appliances look as though they were installed yesterday. (Actually, the appliances are a mix of vintage and modern: The oven and range are original to this kitchen while the dishwasher and fridge are updated.)

Upstairs, you’ll find four bedrooms and a full bath. Even though it dates to an earlier era, the bathroom looks fresh and new thanks to the care this home’s owner gave it.

Each of the lower floors has a powder room, and the basement is fully finished with three distinct spaces: a rec room with knotty pine accent walls and bar, a laundry room and a utility room that is perfect for storage or as workshop space.

This home’s one-third acre lot offers plenty of room for you to relax and a front terrace for relaxing. Your kids can roam free in the front or back yard, and there’s a detached one-car garage out back.

Even with its vintage appearance, this home is up-to-date where it counts. The rec room and sun porch carpeting was replaced last December at the same time the hardwood floors were polished, the rear bedroom windows replaced and the entire home got an updated paint scheme in pleasing neutral colors. The energy-saving ceiling fans, attic insulation, basement oil tank and roof are all brand-new. The in-wall air conditioning units are also of very recent vintage.
