We could feature many of the trinities in this weekly feature in our First-Time Finds department as well, as they are usually very reasonably priced. But if we did, we’d soon run out of trinities to feature. So, as usual, we’re offering for your consideration this week a beautifully maintained, up-to-date and surprisingly roomy trinity at a price that should fit almost any budget.

Like most trinities, this home near Queen Village’s border with Pennsport dates to the 19th century. But thanks to a complete rebuild in 1960 plus subsequent remodeling and upgrades, it feels almost like new. The remodeling jobs were sensitively carried out, however, so that much of this home’s original charm shines through.

For instance, exposed brick. You’ll find it in the classic trinity stairwell and in the fireplaces in the living room and the basement kitchen. (Both are currently inoperable but re-sealable.)

The home’s original pine floors have also been restored and refinished on the main and second floors, while the top floor and basement boast newer hardwood floors that complement the originals.

Just about everything else in this home has been renewed or updated in the recent past: the appliances and cabinetry in the kitchen are less than 10 years old, and the bathroom got a makeover even more recently.

The home’s western exposure means lots of afternoon sun pours in through the large windows, and for outdoor enjoyment, you also have access to the gated courtyard that runs alongside the home.

You’ll also be hard pressed to find a home so reasonably priced in as convenient a location as this one. There’s so much within walking distance: Shot Tower Recreation Center is just over a block away, as is Jefferson Square Park, and just beyond Jefferson Square is the Sacks Playground and public pool. The Delaware riverfront and Italian Market are both an easy stroll from here (the home’s Walk Score is 92), there’s an Indego bike share station nearby, and two SEPTA bus routes take you to where you want to go outside the neighborhood.
