Farmhouse Friday: Woodsy Newtown Square Home Includes “Party Loft” Barn

It's also had its price reduced since last we wrote about it.

We never forgot the old Belgrave Farm estate in Newtown Square, what with it being a thirty-six acre expanse with the Ridley Creek stream running through it and all. (Even has a pond and waterfall, y’all!) But last we wrote about it, the lush property was listed for a whopping $7.95 million, a fact we have now discovered has changed.

Reduced to $7.65 million this past spring, we’re guessing the rustic Chester County residence will grab the attention of a slightly larger pool of would-be homebuyers. Fortunately for them, it’s doubtless they’ll be disappointed: a long tree-lined driveway leads up to the restored 200-year-old stone farmhouse, which vaunts some newer addition from Peter Zimmerman Architects. The house overlooks the street and coms with a barn nestled nearby.

The barn, by the way, comes with a garage, two stalls, and – we’re not even kidding – “party room” loft. On the whole, Belgrave is situated within the Radnor Hunt area and comes with an easement from the Willistown Conservation Trust. It’s also minutes from stores and restaurants.
