A long-time favorite of families around the area, Sparks Shot Tower at Front and Carpenter in Queen Village has ball fields, a community center, a smaller playground and a newish water/splash park where kids can cool off during the hot summer months. In short, if you live anywhere nearby and have small kids, you probably know Shot Tower (or Herron Park in Pennsport) very, very well.

Also, if you often drive on I-95 and wonder what the heck this thing is that’s just west of the Columbus Boulevard exit, then you actually know Shot Tower well also, at least to look at it.

Well, now is you chance to live by it–and when we say “by it,” we actually mean directly across the street at this stylish trinity at 110 Carpenter Street.

The exterior is a typical, classic brick trinity that’s nicely positioned on the corner of a brick-topped alleyway (with a new stucco job in the back!). Inside, the lovely home boasts three fireplaces, each with a glorious mantle. The home also has hardwood floors and 19th century exposed wood beams on the top and bottom floors.

In addition to the old world goodies, modern amenities, such as central air conditioning, a tankless hot water heater, radiant kitchen floors, and updated bathrooms, make this place even better.

Though we love the kitchen (which seems more spacious than a traditional trinity), the master bedroom has built-in bookshelves and a working fireplace.
