Newly Listed: King of Prussia House Featured on Notable Kitchens Tour

The Main Line Committee for the Philadelphia Orchestra holds a yearly benefit that welcomes visitors into a handful of local homes to see standout kitchens in use by well-known chefs. This Gypsy Lane house is one of those featured, perhaps owing to its Spogue & Company kitchen with a striking island that joins thick butcher block with a granite countertop. The kitchen area is open to the rest of the living space, including the two-story foyer and living room, and a “breakfast room” with a bar and wine cooler. It also opens onto the impressive outdoor patio with a stone fountain and plantings.

The rest of the home shouldn’t be overlooked, though, as it has some rather unusual features.

The dining room has a fireplace set into a stone wall. There’s a loft with a fireplace that juts out in a box from the wall so the flame is visible from three sides. A bathroom shower is gray tile and pebbles and seems to be hammered out of the wall. Two bedrooms have been opened up, an archway between them. One room’s walls are made entirely of stone.

The home’s unusual angles make for some quirky spaces, to be sure.
