Luxury Newtown Square Estate With Solarium and Shooting Range

To start, this estate’s wine room is significantly bigger than some studio apartments we’ve seen. And sure, many a manse features a bar and a library and and an opulent, dark-wood, leather-bedecked study. But this one also includes its own solarium and underground shooting range.

The property also features eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms as well as a billiards room and tennis courts. The pool behind the flagstone verandah is opulent enough that one wonders when Tracy Lord will appear with her model of the True Love.

3 games in 11 days means Peyton Manning can S.T.F.U. The end.

    • Richard Colton

Manning may be carving up secondaries now, but he hasn’t met Wolff/Chung/Allen yet.

      • G_WallyHunter

one of the most feared safety groups in the league, I bet Peyton is studying them right now, trying to figure out how to overcome their impeccable coverage

WHICH RECEIVER TO THROW TO? THEY’RE ALL OPEN!!!!

          Manning’s head will frazzle

LOL he stalls in deciding which open receiver to throw to, gets sacked

Can’t decide, throws ball of for grabs…. I was about to say we’d come down with it, but we’d find a way not to and turn it into a Peyton td pass.

          • G_WallyHunter

he would probably throw it up for grabs and one of those 4 would still seek it out and get it, regardless of where it was thrown

Love it. Pretty sure that’s our only hope- leave them all open, make him indecisive. Allen can be last man back, to ensure a good tackler keeps them from the end zone.

Don’t know the preseason tapes is going to be much help here. Denver is on fire. Peyton and the Broncos after half time changed their entire game plan leaving the Raiders in quicksand last night. They shifted from 11 to 12 and pounded the Raiders with an uptempo attack leaving the Raiders unable to change out of their nickle coverage.

Denver just gashed the Raiders with two tight ends the rest of the night.

  • eaglesfanqc

Manning’s are two crying babies.. We play 3 games in 11 days and we aren’t complaining…

    • G_WallyHunter

it was also nice of the NFL to give denver 3 out of 4 home games to start the season lol… shut up Peyton

      • Justin

They even got the Super Bowl champs in Denver compliments of the MLB.

        • G_WallyHunter

HAHA exactly… shut up Peyton, you should have been playing in Baltimore…

    • G_WallyHunter

I picture Curry taking down Peyton at least 3 times, imagine that sight….
Oakland was getting some good pressure on him just rushing 4, I’m excited to see how Eagles D line can disrupt him, because that will basically be the deciding factor. 2nd would be pass coverage I think lol

      • usmcnole

Denver’s line is very unspectacular. Manning’s quick decision making and release make them look better than they are. Hopefully our secondary can give our front seven a chance to get to him

        • G_WallyHunter

exactly ya, honestly I think that matchup will determine the game. Eagles Dline vs Denver Oline…. the secondary vs thomas, thomas, decker, welker is related of course…

        • Avery

That’s if we don’t keep rushing 3 guys

        • EaglePete

thats the funny thing about some QBs, they can make everyone around them much better. That includes the line.

champ also gotta be closing in on 35. i’d put him on Avant or cooper, let a younger pup try and stay w/ d-jax.

DCR will have HOF type game, knowing our luck.

          • All In Eagles

He’s having a good season so far, but he’s slowed since week 1 (he had a spectacular week 1 in Philly last year also, 2 picks I believe?). I’m hoping we beat up on him a bit.

          • cliff henny

he’s missed a bunch of tackles. but, the broncos have been so far ahead, nothing matters. sure he’s being billed as 2010 rejuvenated DCR, but he doesnt look any different to me. on raiders 1st td,didnt he wiff on tackle and also knock safety off?

          • All In Eagles

I think he was at fault on that long TD, believe me I’m not for defending him although secretly I’d prefer him on our team right now (yes, I’ve been forced into a corner with our current squad), Nnamdi is another story, no thanks.

          • cliff henny

fletcher is a player. he has to be the pleasant surprise free agency signing. hope he can stay healthy. dont miss either dcr or nnamdi. have no time for soft players

          • All In Eagles

I like him also but just to play devils advocate, our D is still being billed as one that can’t tackle at all. When people say that, it’s the same as saying they’re soft, so where’s the improvement?

          • Adam

Not really. These guys are at least trying. It’s issues with breaking down and having proper form and wrapping up. Last year was just a complete avoidance of contact of any kind.

          • All In Eagles

Ok, agree but isn’t the result the same? We get torched for big scores and many of them.

          • Adam

Maybe. You can teach technique though. You can’t teach toughness.

          • cliff henny

yup, different but better problems. i can see the makings of a winning team. we just have to realize this isnt 2000’s reid, jj, dawk days. winning 21-16 days are over. kelly wants to win 35-27. just have to move our target as fans to what a good eagls defense looks like.

Yeah Manning always letting the defense play with a lead plus good pass rush will go a long way in making a corner look better. But like Nnamdi in San Fran, you can still see how flawed his game is. Those teams could mask it better.

          • cliff henny

it’s funny, i rooted for SF last yr, but with NNamdi’s signing, hope they go 1-15. i dont have near the same hate for dcr

          • anon

Ray Lewis was mentioning that the way to beat Peyton is to play zone, and run the ball. I think he’s right if we go man or man/zone we’ll get rocked. If we can get people to play in the system and not do a bunch of exotic blitzes i think we’ll be fine.

          • Adam

I think exotic blitzes is exactly what you need… you can’t beat Peyton by using the same old stuff. He’ll eat you alive if you’re predictable or has any idea what you’re doing.

And yeah, we definitely can’t man up against the Broncos. Every receiver they have can beat man coverage with ease. Problem is our zone coverage is so soft too. Welker and co will have no trouble finding holes.

Peyton against our defense.. Vick playing for behind.. not looking forward to this one. Here’s hoping the pass rush shows up. Free Vinny.

          • anon

Yeah i think us always playing from behind isn’t great for this offense.

          • cliff henny

like to see a game where eagles play ahead, can attack and use scoreboard pressure. see what happens when oppenents cant run 12-15 play 8-10 minute drives.

          • Adam

It’ll come man. Maybe not this year but we’ll get there.

          • cliff henny

most of the last 2 games we’ve been down 10+ points. offense is so dynamic, always feels like just 1 stop and tide will shift. SD, chungs penalty cost game or at least huge momentum shift.

          • anon

Yeah that’s really the most heartbreaking part. But better than last year where we were just getting blown out. Or the year before where we were winning but our D couldn’t stop anyone in the 4th quarter.

Unfortunately this game has a recipe of just that. I am holding out a glimmer of hope we can win this game and I’d like to see this team fight through EXTREME adversity and take a win, even with a last second FG.

          • BlindChow

Hopefully the FG won’t be more than 40 yards…

          • EaglePete

Manning is just so good at reading when you will blitz and adjusting. The way the Pats used to beat him was by disrupting the WR timing and setting everything off, playing zone. Sometimes you can slow him down, Im just not really hopeful our D is the D that can do that. After seeing Rivers crush them its hard to be hopeful. Exotic is right though, you do have to pressure him and test that replacement guard, somehow some way. Rattle him and see where ti goes. Otherwise he prob picks you apart anyway.

          • All In Eagles

Seriously at this point, there are less than zero flaws with this guy. You rush him, he unloads it early with surgical precision placement, all of their WR’s can fight for the ball and catch it. You give him time and we’re toast as well. In the end we need to pick our poison and I hope Billy D is scheming to create pressure and not sit back and wait for our D to play well in the back end.

play in a parking lot…well, should of coached here 20 yrs ago, basically would have. a parking lot with open man hole covers and drunken bystanders tossing anything handy. while the penny pinching owners refusing to spend money fix the place up. Linc is so nice…in weird way, i miss the Vet, god what a sh!thole…but it was our sh!thole. ever try explaining the bathrooms to people? takes alot to disgust me, but those came close

    • EaglePete

sorry man, it was a wonderful day when that pos was demolished. I dont miss it for anything. Watched Randall lose a playoff gm there, watched Phils lose a gm 5 or so there against Braves, snuck in through the bottom doorways dressed as a valet parker to many concerts, the renuion tours of the who and stones in early 90s. I guess my first baseball and football games were there with my pops so thats good memories. Watching brawls in the 700 level was something to see as a 10 yr old, I remember it clearly. Some good and bad times but that was the event, not the place, dont miss it. Those 70s 2 sport stadiums were just the worst idea.

I am sick of hearing about “we played 3 games in 11 days” waaaa waaaa waaaa… Outside of playing Thursday Night football in week 1 or 2 EVERYBODY that plays a Thursday night game plays 3 games in 12 days unless they had a bye week (Dallas and Tampa) during that three game stretch. It was at the beginning of the season. The bodies were fresh as possible. Get over it people. He11, even our short week we were at home. Ohhhh we have the dreaded 3 game raod stretch. One of those games is a bus ride. We haven’t had home filed advantage for years. Probably since the Vet.

  • dislikedisqus

Not that I have any credentials but my strategy would be: (1) nickel the whole game; (2) rush 3, drop 8 on most plays, but frequently make the rush unbalanced – all from the left, all from the right etc. Peyton is not mobile so if anyone gets through, he’s at risk. Plus it lets part of your defense rest a bit on some plays. But I don’t expect success. This guy is in another galaxy.

  • Scott J

Manning will throw in Nate Allen’s direction all night.

  • anon

Kelly made interesting comments about the blitz schemes: “You have to try to give him different looks. But you have to make
sure your disguise isn’t a liability, that you’re so far away from your
work that you can’t get to your work.”

There was a really good article about this one philly.com and how Billy had blitzes coming from all over, but they lead to blown coverages / players that are blitzing from too far away to be effective. There was a play were the DB blitzed and Ced Thorton was left to cover a WR down the field (he did a pretty good job). That seems a little silly.

I wonder if Kelly is going to get a little exhasperated looking at tape of the defense schemes billy puts out. Might need to call his guys in Oregon.

    • GoBirds1

I was a little disgusted when billy sent Boykin on the Blitz like 8 times and never got within 10 yards of Smith. Maybe with the game on the line they could have used him to man Cover Avery on the cross instead of being burnt by Fat Andy for the sixth time. Their is reason this DC has a lousy reputation.

Watch for the Broncos to not huddle the entire game (or most of it) a la Rivers and company. Peyton is a magician when it comes to calling plays at the line of scrimmage. The Slow Huddle was basically invented by he and Tom Moore in Indy. The ONLY chance our D has against him is to a. Get a TON of pressure on him and b. disguise our coverages until the last second. He’ll torch us if not.

  • septa_rida

Simple – cause the dudes other than Peyton to make mistakes.

To Peyton: Shut yer piehole! To Chip : I love you, man!!!!!

Manning’s are two crying babies.. We play 3 games in 11 days and we aren’t complaining…

  • G_WallyHunter

it was also nice of the NFL to give denver 3 out of 4 home games to start the season lol… shut up Peyton

  • cliff henny

play in a parking lot…well, should of coached here 20 yrs ago, basically would have. a parking lot with open man hole covers and drunken bystanders tossing anything handy. while the penny pinching owners refusing to spend money fix the place up. Linc is so nice…in weird way, i miss the Vet, god what a sh!thole…but it was our sh!thole. ever try explaining the bathrooms to people? takes alot to disgust me, but those came close

  • Justin

They even got the Super Bowl champs in Denver compliments of the MLB.

  • Connie Conners

COSIGN… realist post up here… the VET was a sh!thole but boy DO I MISS IT

  • theycallmerob

I miss those bathrooms. And by bathroom, I mean the open area of tiled floor I would stand over while relieving myself.

  • EaglePete

sorry man, it was a wonderful day when that pos was demolished.

  • G_WallyHunter

HAHA exactly… shut up Peyton, you should have been playing in Baltimore…

  • BlindChow

It was always a home game for Denver. The league just changed when the game would take place.

  • EaglePete

    all excellent points

  • pennguino

  • knighn

Peyton is an old horse who needs to be put out to pasture with Wrangler Brett.

  • BrickSquadMonopoly

    Yeah no you are.

  • Media Mike

Nice to see that this person with a crush on me is now using their copy of my screen name to follow me on here.

  • nicksaenz1

Definitely don’t have a home field advantage. It’s especially hard when the home team is being booed by its fans shortly after taking the field.

  • GoBirds1

In case you can’t read well. P Manning is leading the NFL in every major QB category. He is probably playing the best ball of his career. Too bad Fat Andy didn’t go after him when he could. Then again we had Kolb and Vick, so why would he.

  • anon

I think we’re winning in QB rushing / rush TDs. That said, every year Peyton looks clinical, and then gets beat.

  • knighn

Don’t believe the hype. Peyton can’t even rap as well as Eli… and Eli sucks, so you know Peyton isn’t really a player.

  • 1972

Yeah, so many people go over board with manning. He’s a great qb. but he’s not clutch at all. Playoff time is what I care about. not 3 games in, beating a bad raider team at home

  • EaglePete

yes, I use the playoff bashing lines all the time for Peyton but lets be honest here. He does look like hes playing the best ball of his career, its unreal. I agree with GoBirds1 on this, Ill take that over the rushing QB all day.
