US Open Last-Minute Rentals: There’s Still Time

So Tiger will not drown in some kind of Biblical flood after all, despite the most sophisticated meteorological forecasts that suggested he might. The game will go on, and for those who want to see the players as they proceed along this notoriously difficult course–especially holes 14 to 18–there may be some last-minute weekend rentals within a manageable price range.

Below are some rentals we’ve spotted on airbnb that would make some sense. They’re listed as available for this weekend, but of course, there’s no guarantee.

No. 1
airbnb.open.single
Two bedrooms and one bathroom on single floor of a private home. Beds are singles but rooms have A/C. Guests can walk a mile and a half to the course or get a morning shuttle provided by the hosts.

From the listing:

-Around the corner from great shops, restaurants, and taverns of Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Narberth.
-Off street parking for three cars
-Refrigerator in room
-Lovely backyard, porch, and patio with fire pit for summer evening cocktails or nightcaps

It says there’s a five-night minimum, but given that it’s not yet rented, I’ll bet that’s now flexible. As is the $400/night price?

No. 2.

The host is asking $200 per night.
