The Estately blog has a list today of the 17 Best U.S. Cities for Dogs. Those that scored highly have lots of dog parks, dog-related businesses and prior high rankings on other dog-friendly lists. Need we state the No. 1 pick? All together, now: Portland, Ore. Forget about that vaunted number of people with Ph.Ds; sounds like there far more canines holding obedience degrees.

Philadelphia, well…the city doesn’t make the cut. Here’s why: “With an average of 2,354-square-feet, Philly’s homes have some of the smallest yards in the country.” To say nothing of Michael Vick.
