Philly Row Home Extreme Makeover, Flyers-Style

Seventeen-year-old Christopher Sok, who’s getting treatment for cancer, and his family (mom, dad, sister, niece and nephew), are getting an extreme makeover for their Oxford Circle row home, courtesy of the women’s charity group called the “Flyers Wives.”

One of them explained her expertise to the Daily News: “All hockey wives are interior decorators. We have to be because we move so much.”

The new decor is earth tones, blues and hardwood floors; and chrome, leather and a corrugated metal wall for Christopher’s room (he’s training to be a mechanic, so it’s a garage theme). They checked first with some Flyers Sons before doing Christopher’s room to make sure it “would be cool.”

Michael’s Way is the nonprofit partner.
