Property’s Morning Obsession: Exquisite Modern Log Cabin and Pod Palace

There’s something about this contemporary take on the humble log cabin that has us dreaming of a vacation in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho–though surely the Robinson family would be surprised if a bunch of Philadelphians dropped by. Two couples–parents and their adult children–share the 5-bedroom vacation lake house, so architects Uptic Studios crafted a four-pod system to maintain privacy but access to common spaces, including a 200-square-foot bridge). The home cost about $250 per square foot to build.

The home was most recently featured in one of Houzz’s Tours; click on any photo and it’ll take you to more.
