New Luxury Apartments In Lansdale Coming Soon. Large Dogs Welcome.

Philadelphia Suburban Development Corp. (PSDC), one of the area’s largest commercial real estate companies, is spreading its wings and taking on an ambitious residential project in Towamencin Township. The family-owned PSDC has developed more than 100 properties since its founding in 1962. It not only buys and develops properties, but it helps clients like universities and correctional facilities find space and customize it with an in-house construction team and partner architects. The company also fosters community-oriented missions by redeveloping old, by-the-wayside properties and then leases them to nonprofits.

The new project is multifaceted and intended to transform the identity of a 90-acre parcel PSDC bought many years ago. The residential luxury apartment complex, called Bridgeview at Towamencin Town Square, will consist of 20 residence buildings with 180 units. One-bedrooms will start at $1,425 and two-bedrooms at $2,085. Amenities will be plentiful, including:

    Pool
    Business Center & Conference Room
    Amphitheater & Billiards Room
    Dog Stations & Pet Sitting
    Concierge
    Conference Room
    Media Lounge
    Demonstration Kitchen
    Fitness Center & Yoga Room
    Outdoor Pool and Grill
    Club House

The complex will be pet-friendly (even to large dogs) and will open to residents in May.

In addition to the residential piece, the Town Square will also have a Marriott Courtyard Hotel, slated to open in October. The area currently doesn’t have a business hotel, despite the fact that it has plenty of pharma activity. The restaurant consultant for the hotel is Zavino owner Greg Dodge, late of Starr/POD/Washington Square, so we’re not talking about Marriott Applebee’s.

The entire complex is part of a vision for creating a new identity for the area, as you can see from the below rendering. We’ll have more on this next month.
