When an airy, bright and not-so-big apartment functions as a studio (for a growing textile-graphic design and stationery business), an office (for an irrepressibly adorable design blog), and a home (for a newlywed couple), there's little room for accumulation. Instead, Joy Deangdeelert Cho started small. "I've been collecting for about a year and a half, two years at the most," she says. "A friend and I would swap teacups in the mail." Her collection includes a few art prints, a pair of fabric birds and 10 teacups. "[Teacups are] a great way to spend only $10 or $20 and get a little, precious piece of art."
