Just tried it based on this recommendation. Sometimes I wonder if some of these listings are paid advertisements. This was the worst, worst Bahn-mi I’ve had in Philly, a city with at least 8 fantastic bahn-mi places. I don’t know if it’s cause Philly Mag doesn’t like brown people, but every Vietnamese place does a better sandwich than this one for a fraction of the price.
Here – $8 buys you a sandwich on a roll – cold, flavorless chicken, some veggies. Absolutely sinful to call this a bahn mi and inexcusable that this could make any ‘best of’ list, except as maybe a spoof in the Onion of the Main-Liners trying to get a good meal in the city. Cold, flavorless, sad, and expensive. Bad.
