Best of Philly 2007 Casual Restaurant, Suburbs

Happy Days Diner

Happy Days Diner has all the standards: kid-size cups and chairs, children’s TV programming (turned way down), a separate room for large groups. But the seemingly standard fare on its children’s menu — burgers, grilled cheese, mounds of fries — is much tastier and less heavy than most. And the rest of the extensive diner menu — especially the robust collection of burgers and salads — makes this spot friendly for parents as well. Especially when the waitstaff delivers the tab: around $40 for a family of six.
