Amy York (left) and Leanne DiDomenico were corporate-world émigrées when they met five years ago in Drexel’s master’s program in interior architecture and design. Today, the pair run a Wash West-based boutique firm founded on the principles of timeless decoration — and flexible business practices. “A client can hire us solely for a room layout, or paint colors. For structural projects like kitchen renovations, we’ll often design the space while our client selects everything for it,” says York. “Of course, we do comprehensive projects, too, but it’s these partial services that work for a lot of people, especially in this economic climate.” Recent interiors: new kitchens for a historic Art Museum home (pictured below) and a Villanova estate’s farmhouse.
