Owners of historic Philadelphia homes seek out Haddon Heights interior designer Katherine Glendinning for gently modern kitchen makeovers, tasteful bedroom suite renovations and magnificent dining room redos. But come holiday time, Katherine’s book fills up with requests for a more ephemeral sort of art: putting up decorations and pulling together parties. Such work—bedecking halls, dinners and full-on galas—is, she says, “a natural outgrowth of my design business. For a party to be beautiful, it has to work with the interior.”
