Philadelphia Wedding‘s Editor Is On the Cover of Martha Stewart Weddings!

So, some craziness occurred last week. It looks like this:

I’ll back up real quick: I got hitched last New Year’s Eve, and while we actually don’t cover staffers’ weddings here, even if we did, I would have probably declined to include our celebration in PW’s pages. A very dear friend of mine, though—who I became friends with when he was the design director at Philly mag/PW and who is now the design director of Martha Stewart Weddings—suggested I submit to the team at MSW, and the idea of potentially shining a national spotlight on Philly’s fabulous wedding talents was enough to convince me.

We’d known since the summer that our wedding would be included in this issue—we did the interviews and everything—but we didn’t know we’d be on the cover until the week or so before the issue came out. It seemed surreal when we found out, and honestly, it still does!

So anyway, if you’d like to peep the work of some seriously awesome Philly vendors, grab a copy on the next newsstand you pass, or hop over to the Martha site to check out the online feature (there’s a teeny bit of extra content in there, and you can watch our wedding video’s trailer by CinemaCake).

So, craziness, yes—but what a night that was, and what a memento we’ll now have of it for years and years to come.
