There Was a Proposal Yesterday During the Broad Street Run!

If you are at all the type of person to be distracted when passing by a proposal, you may have seen a minute or two added to your Broad Street Run time yesterday when Mike Dziura dropped down on one knee and proposed to girlfriend Paula Barg with City Hall right in the background.

Because I mean, would you not have slowed down for this?

According to NBC Philadelphia, the bride-to-be had been very into her time before her then-boyfriend led her from one side of Broad Street where his family was to the other side of Broad Street where hers was (all part of the well-orchestrated plan) so that they would be positioned just perfectly in the middle of the road when he floored her by popping the question.

And it’s a good thing this was such a thorough and wonderful distraction, because the couple never did finish the race. (Hopefully, the bride runs anyway, and hadn’t been training specially for this race!)

How fun! Congrats from PW to the happy couple!
