Wait until you see the yummy food they’re whipping up.

If you’ve ever envisioned yourself chowing down on smoked BBQ ribs, creamy mac ‘n cheese and buttery biscuits on your Big Day, this news is right up your alley: Longtime Philly restaurant vets Adam and Shelly Zensinger just launched a new catering company with a focus on Southern staples and comfort food favorites. It’s called June Allan, and their casual, family-style fare is just about perfect for your warm-weather nuptials or pre-wedding events.

After years of working Philly’s food scene (they met at Amada; she was front-of-house and he manned the kitchen, before they both moved on to other restaurants), the Zensinger’s, who are also newlyweds, were looking to bring a more laid-back dining experience to the city. “We love nothing more than a big celebratory meal where friends and family mingle, laugh and enjoy one another’s company with ease. We created June Allan to serve as the backbone to those kinds of gatherings, and to bring the warm and breezy hospitality that’s often paired with lowcountry cuisine here to Philadelphia,” says Chef Adam.

Adds Shelly, “We want your wedding, rehearsal dinner, morning-after brunch, bachelor party or bridal shower to feel like the best backyard BBQ you’ve ever attended.”

Family-style cookouts are the couple’s signature, so you can expect to find whole hog roasts, clam bakes and lowcountry boils on the menu, along with all of the ribs, brisket, deviled eggs and cornbread your heart desires. Plus, classic desserts like banana pudding, peach cobbler and all sorts of pies are available, too.

June Allan’s menus are completely customizable, and couples work directly with Shelly and Chef Adam to find the styles and flavors that best suit their party. They’re currently booking events for 2016, so check out their website for more information or give them a call at 267-670-8810.
