With all of the energy that goes into shopping for your wedding dress, it’s easy to forget about all of the other events surrounding your Big Day—like the engagement and bachelorette parties, engagement photo shoot, bridal shower(s), rehearsal dinner and honeymoon—that you’ll need outfits for, too.

And since hitting the mall (or scouring the web) in search of the perfect wedding wardrobe can be incredibly time-consuming and stressful, we’re thrilled to introduce you to a local bridal stylist who will gladly do all of the shopping for you.

Meet Lauren Griffin, a Philly native whose new business, Little White Dress, is focused on styling brides-to-be for their weddings and all of the celebrations that come along with it.

Lauren has been passionate about the fashion industry ever since she was a kid, and she eventually turned that interest into a career with jobs at Nordstrom, Per Lei and Lilly Pulitzer. She’s that person everyone turns to for styling advice, and she’s gotten to know her friends’ and family’s wardrobes so well that she’ll often go shopping for them. (“I’ll text a friend a picture saying, ‘You need this top to go with that printed skirt you always want to wear but never do; I’m buying it for you,'” she says.)

But it wasn’t until Lauren got engaged and began planning her own Big Day that she understood how overwhelming shopping for your wedding can actually be—that’s when a lightbulb went off. “I realized I couldn’t be the only bride-to-be with a hefty to-do list and an appetite for perfection, so I created a survey and asked everyone I knew who was engaged or had gotten married in the past three years what their shopping experience was like. Turns out, their experiences were very similar to mine: stressful.”

So Little White Dress was born, and Lauren began offering her styling services to brides all over Philly (she’ll also travel to meet with clients or work with them remotely). Here’s how it works: Lauren starts with a style survey and consultation, where she gets a solid understanding of the bride’s personal style, color palette, budget and theme for the occasion(s). She’ll send inspiration boards filled with photos and a bunch of clothing options for the bride to choose from—then Lauren will either send her the links where she can purchase the items, shop for her or shop with her, depending on the bride’s preference.

When we’re finished our work together, the bride will know exactly how to style her look and how to wear her hair and makeup, and she’ll have plenty of ideas for how to re-wear her new clothes after the events, too,” Lauren says.

Lauren is in the process of adding bridesmaid styling to her service menu as well, so she’ll be able to guide you and your girls through the entire process from the initial shopping trip to the last fitting.
