Christian’s ring!
The couple: Christian Mayurnik and Brad Rink from Northern Liberties.
The ring: My ring is white gold with a cushion-cut center stone with individually set diamonds along the band. Brad picked it out and designed it himself after two years of me emailing and tagging him in pictures of my dream ring. He had never wanted to go shopping for rings but he is a great listener and great at taking some not-so-subtle hints. Billy Lynch, the owner of Golden Impulse in Media, helped to make my dream ring.
The proposal: I have had spreadsheets of the plans of our wedding long before there was an actual proposal. I knew Brad was the one early on—he changed my life for the better and completes me in every possible way.
He completely surprised me by booking us flights to Chicago for the Fourth of July. The night we got there we had an incredible dinner and took a walk along the Chicago River. As we were walking along the lower level on the water, Brad got down on one knee and proposed. It was the most perfect engagement for us, and to top it off, our friends and family flew in to surprise us the next day. We celebrated with drinks on the beach, fireworks and lots of deep dish pizza!
The band: I would love to do a mismatched band. I’m thinking a bezel set eternity band, with the option of adding a variety of stackable rings to represent significant life events.
