Amber’s ring!

The couple: Amber Lutz and Brian Leahy, from Philadelphia.

The ring: My ring is a double French-set diamond “V” engagement ring with an oval center stone surrounded. It’s all set in white gold. It’s perfect! My best friend since I was 12 years old helped Brian pick out the ring. He ordered it from Ritani.

The proposal: I had no idea it was coming and was completely caught off guard! One Sunday, we planned to head to McGillin’s to watch the Eagles game after a family walk in Villanova. Brian suggested we park in our old neighborhood (where it’s free) and then walk to the bar. As we approached Rodman Street, he asked me if I wanted to walk down our old street, and I immediately agreed because we always do that when we are in the neighborhood. We started reminiscing about all the fun we had when we lived there—the fun parties we had and the neighbors we met, and more.

As we approached our old house, he started to talk about what a beautiful day it was and how much he loved living here. And all of the sudden before I could realize it he said, “That’s why I couldn’t think of a better time to ask you to be my wife.” I was immediately crying and hugging him with joy. All of our friends and family popped out from around the corner with champagne, flowers and balloons. We celebrated on Rodman for quite some time and then headed to Bru for the best Sunday Funday ever!

The band: I want something sparkly on either side of my engagement ring—but I am open to advice!
