As far as creative, thoughtful proposals go, this guy hit the nail right on the head: Justin Lebon and now fiancée Michal Ott are avid Monopoly players, and when Justin decided to pop the question last year, he found an awesome way to incorporate their favorite game into the proposal.

With the help of a friend, Justin handcrafted a (pretty amazing) custom Monopoly board complete with property names that correspond to special places and events in the couple’s lives. He filled the new game with Monopoly money, houses and gold pieces he found at thrift stores and organized everything nice and neatly inside the beautiful wooden box.

As part of the proposal, Justin had the game’s luxury tax spot (which, in the original version of Monopoly, already has a diamond ring pictured on it) made into a trap door where he hid the gorgeous sparkler he picked out for Michal. He rigged the rest of the game so she’d land on that spot on her first try, and from there his plan worked out perfectly.

Check out more photos of the game and read their entire proposal story here. (Spoiler: They won’t be having a Monopoly-themed wedding.)
