PW Reader Ring: Stacey & Ryan!

Stacey's ring!

Stacey’s ring!

The couple: Stacey Frisco and Ryan Stefan from Northeast Philly and Fairless Hills.

The ring: My ring is a white gold Verragio ring from their Venetian collection. I had looked at so many engagement rings on Pinterest and always found myself falling in love with the Verragio designs.

After looking through pictures together and deciding on a ring, Ryan and I went down to Golden Nugget Jewelers to see it in person. I fell in love with the setting and let Ryan pick out my diamond.

The proposal: The Tuesday before Mother’s Day, Ryan gave me a Mother’s Day card with a trip itinerary inside. He was taking me to Jamaica! I was so excited, and of course, I thought that he was definitely going to propose on the trip.

On our last night there we had planned a reservation at a restaurant at a different resort, so when a photographer from our resort came to our room I was a little taken aback. He led us towards the beach where I saw a candle lit dinner for two waiting for us. I looked down at Ryan’s pockets to see if there was a box inside but there was nothing. I thought it was really sweet of him to have set up the dinner though and couldn’t wait to enjoy our night.

As we approached our table the photographer began snapping. We entered the gazebo and I was handed a single red rose. Ryan then got down on his knee and asked to spend the rest of our lives together and I responded “Yea mon!” with my very best Jamaican accent.

Although I knew the ring was coming one day or another, I was still very surprised by all the effort put into the proposal.

The band: We haven’t talked much about our wedding bands. I would like mine to somewhat match the diamonds that are on the side of my engagement ring. I haven’t decided if I want a full band of diamonds or just half.
