We first told you about Alisa Tongg in last year’s roundup of five Philly officiants who can lead your non-denominational wedding ceremony—she’s a storyteller and certified wedding celebrant who’s known for creating heartfelt, deeply personal ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds and religions.

We recently caught up with Tongg and she had some pretty exciting news to share with us: At the start of the summer, she launched The Living Wall at Promise Ridge, a gorgeous elopement space on her property in the Pocono Mountains.

Tucked away in the woods overlooking the Appalachian Trail you’ll find the custom-built living wall, which is filled with over 12 varieties of lush ornamental ferns (Tongg tells us they’re a symbol of “secret love”). Delicate stringing lights hang between the trees and a simple wooden platform sets the stage for your I Do’s.

An elopement at Promise Ridge includes the filing of a valid Pennsylvania-issued marriage license and a ceremony performed by Tongg. Plus, you’re welcome to invite up to 10 guests to attend the ceremony. The so-dreamy space is also the perfect location for an intimate vow renewal ceremony.

For more information about Tongg and the story behind The Living Wall at Promise Ridge, check out her website here.
