One of the perks of working at a wedding magazine is that a large part of the research we do here involves afternoons spent flipping through photo slideshows of breathtaking beaches, gorgeous pools and the most romantic private island resorts—also known as honeymoon inspiration for all of you brides-to-be. It’s a tough job, we know, but there are so many amazing places out there in the world and we feel it’s our duty to clue you in to as many of them as possible.
That brings us to the holy grail of honeymoon inspiration roundups: Travel + Leisure‘s World’s Top 50 Hotels.
Each year the magazine asks its readers to share their favorite hotels, and the 2015 list doesn’t disappoint. Taking the top spots are The Oberoi Udaivilas in India and Castello di Casole in Tuscany—both places would make for a luxurious honeymoon.
And, surprisingly, nearly 40 percent of the hotels named are located stateside, so there’s plenty to choose from no matter how far you want to travel.
