Q: We had to change the date of our wedding from a Saturday to the very next day, that Sunday—but we’ve already sent out our save-the-dates. What’s the best way to let people know about the change? Do we need to resend save-the-dates?

A: You don’t need to resend your save-the-dates, says planner and designer Melissa Brannon, owner of Philly’s Uncommon Events, but you do need to give people a heads-up before the invitations arrive with a new date on them.

“Send out a Paperless Post, which is the nicest way to send an email correspondence for special events,” she says. That way, your whole list is covered in one fell swoop. “Or,” she says, “you can post the change on your wedding website, if you have one. That and word-of-mouth should get the new date circulated.”
