Survey: Men and Women Have Very Different Opinions About the Perfect Honeymoon Location

The thought of having to choose a honeymoon destination, however far off in my future that may be, totally stresses me out: There are so many jaw-dropping, once-in-a-lifetime locations out there—not to mention all of the spots you haven’t even thought of—that it seems nearly impossible to select just one. (Multiple ‘moons should become the standard, don’t you think?)
If picking one location from a plethora of possibilities wasn’t challenging enough, there’s also the fact that you and your groom have to agree on said location. And as it turns out, men and women have very different opinions about where best to spend a post-nuptial getaway: Condé Nast Traveler recently asked its readers to suggest the cities, islands, resorts and hotels that would make for the perfect honeymoon and the results, when divided by gender, couldn’t be more diverse.
When it comes to far-flung honeymoons, women opt for Africa while the guys are all about paradises in the South Pacific. When given the choice between Mexico and Europe, men often choose the former while the ladies prefer to cross the pond.
Men and women did agree though on their top three favorite cities: Paris, Venice and Krabi, Thailand—though in that order for women, and reversed for men.
