I have mentioned before that from where I sit, it seems couples are very often in need of music inspiration for their Big Day soundtrack, so we try to keep an eye out. (Because admittedly, I am not the best at providing on-the-spot solutions to couples’ wedding-music conundrums.)

And so, we provide you inspirational and idea-provoking lists when we can—but what we saw today was an actual curated list courtesy of Spotify, declaring what they have found—after analyzing over 30,000 wedding-day playlists—to be the most popular songs for a couple’s first dance.

You’ll see that the list—which you can actually listen to, below!—is a mix of classic tunes like Etta James’ “At Last,” and currently cool hits (a friend was just telling me last weekend about being at a wedding where the bride and her father arrived at the ceremony site from the water, on a boat, as Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” played in the background; she said it was honestly like a movie), and will hopefully give you and your dance partner something to think about as you figure out what tune will become your song from here on out.
