Picture of the Week: Dress Envy

Jamie and Drew got married at the Down Town Club in the city. Their wedding was fun and very laid back. Jamie had the cutest flower girl who was extremely excited to be a part of the wedding, and was in awe of Jamie’s wedding dress.
I had hung up Jamie’s dress in the bedroom earlier for photos, and when I was finished, lifted the little girl up on the windowsill so she could sit and admire the dress. She sat there forever, looking the dress. I captured the photograph quietly, without her noticing. That is one of the things I love about documenting weddings: Seeing a potential for a magical shot and setting it up just the way you want it and then letting the moment unfold on its own.
