With news breaking yesterday that same-sex marriage is now legal in Pennsylvania—and Governor Corbett announcing today that he will not appeal the ruling—things are already beginning to pick up on the LGBT wedding front in Philly!

Well-known local restaurateur Dave Magrogan has started things off by announcing that he will be giving away an LGBT wedding at two of his area restaurants: Stella Rossa Ristorante and Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar. Here’s what you do:

  • Go—or have your friends and family go—to the Stella Rossa and Harvest Facebook pages and post up to 50 words explaining why you and your to-be deserve to win a wedding.
  • The couple that gets the most “likes” by June 30th wins!
  • You’ll get a buffet lunch or dinner celebration for up to 50 guests, including open bar.
  • The wedding has to take place before the end of 2014.

Mr. Magrogan is pumped to do this to celebrate this week’s LGBT-marriage news:

“I have a lot of LBGT employees, customers and friends that are so thrilled that this ban was lifted that I felt that I had to do something to commemorate this historic occasion,” said Magrogan. “I’m excited to help a few couples realize the dream of being married after so many years of struggling to gain this basic human right.  It has been a difficult road for many LGBT couples and I want to do my part to make this process easier for them.”
