This crossed my desk today, and it’s awesome. It’s a roundup from CNN of 13 different wedding portraits taken in some seriously stunning locations, from a temple in Bhutan and rooftops in Santorini to a tidal pool in Cape Town and underneath the waves (literally) in Mexico.

Plus, you won’t just be enjoying the amazing photographs—it’ll definitely provide some inspiration for chatting with your photog about getting some really creative shots on your wedding day. As the examples from California and Chicago here show, it’s not necessarily about trekking across Iceland for three hours to find an old military airplane wreckage as your backdrop (another shot in the roundup, in case you haven’t looked yet; I didn’t just make that up, I swear)—it’s just about finding the perfect shot, wherever you are. And with a little planning, there’s no reason you can’t.

Have you and your to-be and photog chatted about doing any special, super cool shots on your wedding day?
