PHOTOS & INSPIRATION: 3 Hunger Games-Themed “Weddings” for Your Viewing Pleasure

Don't think of The Hunger Games as being filled with wedding inspiration? You just might be surprised.

Don’t think of The Hunger Games as being filled with wedding inspiration? You just might be surprised.

Welp, if you’ve got The Hunger Games on the mind these days, you’re not alone—and we don’t just mean because the second movie installment of the series, Catching Fire, just became the highest-earning Thanksgiving-released title of all time. Even weddings are getting in on the game(s). (See what we did there?)

We just recently saw a photographer’s blog post depicting a Hunger Games-themed styled wedding shoot, and then remembered: when the first Hunger Games movie came out, we saw a few of them then, too!

And they’re all really cute and packed with fun ideas that you can use for wedding inspiration regardless of your affinity for all things Katniss. I mean, glittery pinecones are always awesome. So, we rounded them all up. Take a look:

  • This one from Lilly and Lilly Photography in Florida is entitled “Love on Fire” and really goes with the whole red color-scheme thing, adding in glitzy touches of gold, jewel tones and sparkle.
  • This one from Lindye Galloway Design in Orange County is casual, laid back, outdoorsy, and so cute. We are obsessed with those little oragami “mockingjays,” and love the feather details.
  • This one from Kellie Ann Events in Reseda, CA includes some how-to tips for its very DIY, very adorable style. It’s got super cute bow and arrow details, and will definitely make you want to have wood-burned signs at your rustic celebration.
