Does Your Honeymoon Destination Require Just A Passport—Or A Visa?

You need to find out before you start packing.

Sometimes, we feel like a nagging mother with how much we remind brides and grooms to not only pack their passport, of course, but to find out of theirs is expired and get it renewed in time before their honeymoon. It’s one of those annoying little administrative details that can very easily keep getting pushed to the bottom of the priority list—but since you can’t actually go on your honeymoon without one, if you’re heading out of the country, it should really be at the top.

That’s why we had to share this Washington Post article that goes beyond the passport chatter, and points out that for some countries, you actually need a Visa to enter and vacation, not just a passport claiming who you are and where you come from.

The rules vary by country, and they are very worth knowing. Be sure to check it out if you’re considering somewhere far flung for that post-nuptial getaway.
