Bride-to-be Blogger Kathleen: My Beachy Bachelorette Party!

I am starting to wonder what my life is going to be like in four weeks when this wedding has passed us.

I can barely even imagine what it is going to feel like to not have my mind set on wedding thoughts any more. I’m sure I will be a little sad when it is all over {Ed note: Don’t be sad! Here’s how to avoid the post-wedding blues!}, but I can’t wait for things to get back to normal. These last four weeks are going to be so crazy, I just hope I manage to get everything finished. However, before all of the last minute craziness really kicks off, I will be enjoying some beach time with all my ladies this weekend!

I am super excited for my bachelorette beach weekend! The girls did such an amazing job with the shower, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the girls’ weekend! Much to a few of the ladies’ dismay, I stressed that I didn’t want to do the whole “sexy” getup of the short black dress with hot pink sash and little tiara on my head for the big “last night out.” I also made it clear that there will be no matching bedazzeled tank tops, or anything like that. Don’t get me wrong—when done properly, matching tank tops can be super cute and I wouldn’t mind wearing that if it was someone else’s party. However, I’m a different bread of bachelorette so, we’re going for an “ugly” dress theme. I truly believe that you can’t take yourself too seriously, so why not get dressed up and laugh with each other over puffy sleeves? I can’t wait to see what all of the ladies have put together. I think we are going to have a ball!

Did you try to avoid all those bachelorette party clichés? What did you do instead?
