Jay-Z’s Labor Day Concert Screwing Up Some Philly Weddings

You know, we thought it was so cool when Jay Z’s two-day “Made in America” music festival was announced for this summer’s upcoming Labor Day Weekend, we must admit, we didn’t even think about this.

But it makes sense: For brides getting married in the city that weekend, this extravaganza could potentially cause a few problems. CBS3 spoke to our planner buddy Lynda Barness of I Do Wedding Consulting (we’re still chuckling about her right-on-the-money top 12 pet peeves when it comes to wedding planning) about the potential predicaments caused by the event—she’s got a bride getting married that weekend at The Franklin Institute, with guests staying at The Four Seasons—and while she’s sure they’ll be able to circumvent any real problems, she does point out that it’ll take some smart pre-planning to make sure of that. We think it’s safe to say navigating the Parkway will be just a little tricky that weekend.

Any other brides out there getting married on Labor Day Weekend in Philly and concerned about the music festival? What are you and your vendors doing to make sure you’re all good to go?
