Vera Wang seems to be having a little fun with her bridal collections, lately.
For her Fall 2012 collection, she went all nude and black—inspired by the mysteriousness and sexiness of women’s undergarments—and while these creations were certainly untraditional as far as the more common bridal-white frock is concerned, we couldn’t help but get caught up in the chicness and frothy-ness of it all. (Matter of a fact, if you stay tuned for our Fall/Winter 2012 issue of Philadelphia Wedding—out in June—you’ll see several examples of how charmed we were!)
And now, for her Spring 2013 bridal collection, she’s swung her palette in the complete opposite direction: it’s red! It’s red, it’s crimson it’s vermillion, dahlia and scarlet. This time, inspired by the traditional Chinese wedding color, she created a “celebration of love” in the form of bold, seductive dresses just as sexy as her last collection, but in a totally different way.
And we have to say, it’s pretty friggin’ awesome.
Now, yes, each of these dresses—the whole Vera Wang Spring 2013 collection is pictured below—is available in a shade of ivory, but we want to know: Would any of you rock one of these gowns in their original color for your wedding? Let us know what you think in the comments.
