VIDEO: Philadelphia Wedding’s Sew in Love Gown Design Contest

As we have mentioned once or twice since the event took place earlier this month, we are so excited about the success of our first ever Sew in Love event! Eighteen fashion design students from five different area schools each designed a wedding gown which was then put on display at a cocktail party at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel to be judged by a panel of fashion and bridal experts.

The winner, Adriana Maria (whose winning design you can see in the video!) will, for her prize, get to collaborate with Bridals by Danielle owner Danielle Adrian on an upcoming private collection. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the evening went to Wish Upon a Wedding, the design students all did an unbelievably impressive job on their gowns, all had a great time, and we just can’t wait until next year! You’ll be able to see more of Adriana and her beautiful gown in the June issue of Philadelphia magazine, as well as the upcoming fall/winter 2012 issue of Philadelphia Wedding (on stands June 18!).
